Our School

Sweeny High School, established in 1912 in Brazoria County, educates 582 students and serves a population of 3,600. Accredited by the Texas Education Agency, the 

district provides high-quality and comprehensive education for sixth to eighth grade. Also provided are special education programs for preschool and school-age children, and a career and technology education program at the secondary level are also offered. Sweeny ISD is proud to partner with colleges and universities, innovative businesses, nonprofit organizations, and community leaders to prepare students for college, career, and life.

Sweeny ISD holds a rich history of providing a quality educational experience to its students, measured by superior ratings in all areas of accountability. Bulldogs compete throughout the state and experience great success in athletics, fine arts, academic competition, and Career and Technology organizations.
